Ancient Synagogues in Israel’s National Parks
More than 130 ancient synagogues have been found in the Land of Israel — over half in the north. This campaign funds conservation at Bar'am, Korazim, Arbel, and Yehudiya.

Featured project
Conserving ancient synagogues, mosaics, and historic landmarks within our national parks.
Our mission
American Friends of INHF is the U.S. 501(c)(3) that raises funds and friends for INHF’s work with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. INHF is the Israeli partner, not this organization.

What we protect
Everything we support falls into one of these four areas — and every one of them protects something that can't be replaced.
Rescuing injured sea turtles, rehabilitating Persian fallow deer, and reintroducing species back to their biblical habitats.
Restoring rare Roman-era mosaics and ancient synagogues at sites like Hamat Tiberias before time and the elements erase them forever.
Instilling a deep love for the land by bringing thousands of youth into national parks for hands-on conservation education.
Safeguarding delicate ecosystems and open landscapes from encroachment, pollution, and uncontrolled development.
For a celebration
Celebrate a bar or bat mitzvah by adopting a class in Israel. Students spend a year in the national park next to their town.
Fieldwork
From sea turtle rescues to ancient mosaics, each project is a small act of stewardship for something irreplaceable.

Yes. You can give once, or monthly.
Use the internships page. The work is remote and unpaid, in the United States. It is not a placement in a nature reserve in Israel.
